We analyze medical records to evaluate nursing standard of care issues and case strengths.

We clarify discrepancies and prepare concise case merit screening and analysis summaries to help attorneys assess viability, expert needs, and litigation strategy.

L

Luminate

We highlight clinical actions, omissions, and decisions that may represent deviations from the standard of care.

FAQ

Answers for Clients & Attorneys

Quick answers about medical record review, chronologies, merit screening, and case support.

What is a legal nurse consultant, and what does SEAL Consulting do?

We turn complex medical facts into clear, record-cited analysis attorneys can use — from case screening through trial prep.

When should you hire one, and can you screen merit early?

Early — before you spend on outside experts. We can screen a case for merit before you retain a physician expert, so you know if it’s viable and what’s needed next.

What’s in a medical record review and chronology?

A time-ordered summary of care — symptoms, assessments, treatments, outcomes — that flags gaps and inconsistencies and turns documentation into attorney-ready findings.

Can you flag missing records, standard-of-care issues, and support experts?

Yes, within nursing scope: documentation gaps, missing or altered entries, audit-trail questions, nursing-care deviations, plus expert witness and testimony prep for ICU, emergency, and forensic matters. Some opinions may still need a physician expert.

What cases do you support, and who do you work with?

Plaintiff and defense attorneys, law firms, and select private clients — objective and facts-first.

Hourly, with a free initial consultation. We can begin once details are set and records arrive — partial records are fine. Based in Tennessee, serving clients nationwide remotely.
